The Tulsa World newspaper has written that the Lanna Thai band has turned Lanna restaurant into a cozy spot with a fun atmosphere. Live Thai music has long been a part of the overall atmosphere at Lanna Thai Restaurant. By bringing authentic food, clothing and music, the Lanna Thai experience a unique dining event enjoyed by all. The band is special because everybody in the band is both a musician and also works at Lanna Thai. It is their pleasure to sing, arrange and play music when they have a chance. They cook, they sing, they spice up your dining experience.

Saksit Ketkorn is the flute player. He is from the northeast of Thailand. He started learning about music when he was 13 years old. With the musical talent and effort that he has, it made him very interested in music. He can play the Clarinet, Saxophone, trumpet, flute, drum, and Ranad which is a Thai instrument similar to a Xylophone. He also is an expert in Thai instruments such as the Ungalung a popular Thai percussion instrument. |

| While living in Thailand Saksit frequently played music at restaurants, bars, night clubs and concerts. Moreover, he has played with famous Thai performers such as Vipod Petsupan, Jintara Poonlab, and Banyen Rakkan. Before he came to Tulsa, he visited Alaska where he played folk and classical Thai music with a Thai-Laos band. Then, in year 1998 he joined the kitchen staff and became part of the Lanna Thai band in Tulsa Oklahoma. | ||

Amorn Aupama is a keyboard & guitar player. He accompanies Saksit on the keyboard & guitar. Back in Thailand he played at hotels, bars, night clubs, operas, and concerts. He played with a famous Thai singer named Unchalee and he also played with many other bands including Cherry, Flower, Phoenix, and Return. When he has the time, he likes to write and arrange his own music and has a recorded a CD and classical tape for a Thai movie soundtrack. Sometimes he taught young Thai people how to play music. In 1989, he came to America and played with the Smoke house band in Los Angeles. In 1999, he began working at Lanna Thai Restaurant as kitchen staff, shortly thereafter he became a part of the Lanna Thai band. |

Nat is a singer with a beautiful voice. Her passion for music has been a lifelong affair. When the music starts there is no holding her back. She has been singing and performing with the Lanna Thai band since 1999 and is one of the three original members from the first incarnation of the band. |

Robby is the Lanna Thai band drummer. While drumming is what he mainly does, Robby is also a skilled bass and guitar player. Over time he has learned how to adapt and translate traditional Thai music which is designed for traditional Thai instruments into a modern format suited for the style of current times. His translations often lend an exciting edge to traditional songs that opens the music for new audiences. |

Siriporn Chareunsouk is the new member of the Lanna Thai band. In her early teens she has had a passion for music. Her start was singing at parties and weddings. Along with her singing ability, she performs Thai dances. The sound of her voice and her Thai dances allows you to grasp the spirit of Thailand. |

All members not knowing
each other came to Tulsa to work for Lanna Thai in the kitchen. Their love of
music helps bring Thai music to Tulsa, which is a sound that few have
heard before. The Lanna Thai musicians rearrange music incorporating
classical instruments to a modern day style. Their music has drawn
attention from both newspapers and music lovers, earning them complements
and appreciation from fellow musicians. Sometimes, other musicians in the
audience join the Lanna spirit and bring their skills onstage for
impromptu jams and spontaneous collaborations.
